For Friday Five--August 21, 2009

1. What time of the day is your favourite, and why?
Early mornings. When it is still quiet and there are few people out in the streets. When sun isn't fully up and sky is clear with morning star glittering low over tree tops.

2. What's the best time to take a walk, and where to?
Afternoon. When I get out from work, I often walk down to the river and then along it to a park. Pr down the old center of the city - even after it was renovated, there are beautiful buildings there.

3. When can you work best?
Not earlier than 9am at least. Other than that my ability to work depends mostly on outer disturbances, like loud discussions from my co-workers. That sometimes can be remedied by earphones with loud music.

4. What to do on sunny mornings and stormy evenings?
On sunny mornings I have a walk to wherever my feet will carry me. On stormy evenings a good book is the best.

5. When you look outside right now, what do you see?
It is getting dark and I really should close curtains, but outside is only a small stretch of trees, planted there to lower noise level from nearby road. That road can be seen through trees, but it is much better than if they weren't there. My window is facing North-East, so sky is already getting dark and there is a star visible between leaves.
